Why I think they give up..

It probably goes back to sometime in young adulthood or maybe even as a child. They got "burned" by a friend, didn't make the team, they figure they couldn't get the scholarship - so why even fill out the application.. You name the disappointment. Did we encourage them?

I suppose it just sucked the wind out of them and they decided to not believe in the dream anymore. Did you encourage them?

The dream of a lifetime of joy in their occupation, maybe the dream of a long term, fulfilling marriage; retiring with a little dignity.. as simple as a dream of living within their means or as big as really getting to Heaven. Did I encourage them?

Wow.. A lifetime of better decisions and motivation derailed by a few occurrences at a young age! How crazy is that!? Yet, it's true nonetheless.
